Biscuit Town

OBJECTIVE OBSERVATIONS -
  • What is the tempo?
The tempo is slow, but it has a beat more in the background that is a little more upbeat.
  • What is the dynamic range (loud, soft…)?
It stays the same dynamic most of the song. It is not super loud and not super soft.
  • What instruments do you hear? Or does it sound synthesizer/computer-generated?
There is a lot of crazy production going on and there is a drummer and a bassist and a pianist and a saxophonist.
  • Does it sound composed or improvised?
It sounds composed, but almost like it was made up through improvisation.

SUBJECTIVE OBSERVATIONS -

  • What is the song’s purpose?
The purpose is to showcase production and cool sounding things that one would normally not listen to or think of to play.
  • What is the mood of the song? How does it make me feel?
The mood is relaxed, but focused feeling, almost like meditation.
  • If you had to classify the genre or style, what would it be?
The genre is a weird mix of jazz and weird production stuff.
  • Describe the tone of the singer(s) or main instrument(s)
The singer is very relaxed and just saying/singing whatever comes out of his mouth. The instruments seem to follow the voice and are what the song is mainly focused on.b

CONCLUSION -
I have never liked his music. I think he sounds like he has some weird speech impediment. It doesn't make me feel anything good, it makes me feel confused almost. I also can appreciate the song because of the quality of the production and the young age of the artist.
